Disability insurance approval in Pompano Beach, FL

Another client approved, this time out of Pompano Beach, Florida.  Client came to us suffering from IBS, post COVID-19 problems, hearing loss, arthritis, type 2 diabetes, and anxiety.  The insurance company denied the claim stating that the medical information did not provide evidence of a severity of impairment to preclude her from performing her own occupation.

The client went out of work due to medical issues prior to contracting COVID-19.  While out of work from the initial medical issues, she became infected with COVID-19 that caused hypoxic respiratory failure and required hospitalization for just over four months.  After four months, she was released from the hospital, and was then admitted four days later for an additional month.

Despite the client’s treating physicians stating in the medical records that the patient needed to get her medical issues under control and that only then she may possibly be able to work remotely, along with hospital discharge records stating the patient would need a good deal of rehabilitation, conditioning, and nutritional support, the insurance company stated that the medical information did not support a physical or psychiatric impairment precluding her from performing her own occupation.
